Relentless

Relentless charts the incredible journey of swimming sensation Ariarne Titmus, who created one of the greatest underdog stories in Australian sport as she emerged from Tasmania to dethrone American legend Katie Ledecky. In this deeply personal memoir, Ariarne opens up for the first time about the medical issues that have impacted her fertility, and her decision to walk away from the sport at just 25 while still on top of the world because of her belief that family triumphs all.

Along the way, she and her livewire coach formed a partnership that captivated the world and smashed records in the pool.

Known as 'The Terminator', Ariarne is renowned for her grit and determination. Overcoming setbacks, expectations and the pressure of competing at the highest level, she repeatedly proved herself on the biggest stage and inspired a generation of Australians.

Then came a bombshell retirement announcement. In a carefully considered decision, while still at the peak of her athletic powers, Ariarne chose to pursue other goals. In this deeply personal memoir, she opens up for the first time about the medical issues that have impacted her fertility and explains why, at just 25, she walked away from the pool believing that family triumphs over all.

'Relentless is a masterclass in resilience. Ariarne's determination shines through every page, teaching us that success comes from consistency, courage, sacrifice, and seeing opportunities from angles we may never have thought possible. I love the way Ariarne's voice is so strong on the page and the lessons and perspectives she shares throughout. It's a powerful reminder that our greatest potential is often found on the other side of the limits we thought we had.' Michelle Payne

'From Terminator to "tearminator", Ariarne illustrates how lofty ambitions can not only be achieved but surpassed. Ariarne gives a front-row seat with her vivid recollections of a stellar career. The only things that surpass her Olympic and World championship success are her grit, determination and stubborn mindedness towards everything, even when the odds seemed stacked against her. A great example for young and aspiring athletes or anyone who wishes to achieve the extraordinary. You'll laugh, cheer and shed a tear as you cheer on Arnie in a new way.' Ian Thorpe
